Those of you who aren't in the know might not have heard of Mr. Dimitrie, but those that are will tell you Sean is one talented musician.
Sean has cultivated a prosperous DJ/production career starting a few boutique labels, most notably Cache Records & PFB, before finally settling in on label duties with his long time friend and partner Nav Bhinder at Bombay records. Sean is credited as being an innovator of the early West Coast sound with his stellar pieces, solos and collaborations with DJ Ali and Tim Fuller.
Close Encounters has a modern day fusion of a classic prescription sensibility with the tight production and arrangement of an Atjazz or Charles Webster piece.
Under the 8channels guise, Tripwire has apparently been listening to a lot of Sterac, and it has seeped inside of his brain subconsciously. 8channels of course, being the more stripped down stuff Jay has been working on for many labels, and has had great success crossing over into the techno realm, thanks to support from Steve Bug and his Poker Flat imprint.
Not to do just one remix, Tripwire has dropped us an additional gnarly warehouse mix, raw and filthy, and ready to melt peoples faces off, clean to the bone.
